After the ExamProjects & Mission
PARC is an all-volunteer organization with members throughout the United States, known for administering amateur radio examinations nationwide. PARC is one of the three original groups authorized by the ARRL to pioneer remote video testing for amateur radio examinations.
In addition to examinations, PARC provides training and presentations to community groups, youth groups and scouts. Members volunteer at Hamvention and Hamcation and provide communications and logistics support for community service projects, fundraisers and other events throughout the South. PARC also stands ready to support communities in disaster recovery.
At Auburn University, PARC serves as VE Liaison for the testing sessions of the Auburn University Amateur Radio Club (AUARC), one of the oldest continually operating college radio clubs in the country. PARC also provides the club with training, education and technical support, including improvements to the club station.
With Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity founded on the principles of Scouting, PARC provides merit badge training to hundreds of scouts on campus each year. PARC also assists other scout groups and organizations with JOTA (Jamboree on the Air) through public demonstrations of amateur radio.
